2006 – The
Year of Hot and Cold

in the earth. {9} He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He
breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.

nations, I will be exalted in the earth." {11} The LORD of hosts is with
us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
A YEAR OF HOT AND COLD… THE MIDDLE IS A DANGEROUS PLACE TO BE
The main thing that the Lord indicated to me was that the year 2006 (and
into the early part of 2007) will be a year of “Hot and Cold.” What I
heard in that was that this is not a year of “warm,” or “middle of the
road.”
In the early 90’s the Lord gave me a vision of a church building suspended
in space and time. Above the building stood Jesus, the building was about
as large as His foot. He had a sword in His hand and it was pointed down
over the center of the church. He held the sword with two hands. There was
no emotion on His face…. Actually His face looked more like simple
“resolve” than any other emotion. I knew He was simply waiting for the
appropriate time. At that time, He pushed the sword through the church,
cutting it in two. Very quickly I saw the horror inside the building as
people were literally cut in two and body parts were severed where the
sword had cut through the middle of the building. The one half angled up
and became known as the Bride which was “light & Glorious” because of the
Glory (which is Faith) in Her. The other half became known as the “dark
religious” because of the darkness and unbelief on it and fell into
oblivion. The sense was that those in this part were able to “convert” and
be “translated” to the Bride… but at this point God was declaring that He
would no longer let the lost hide in the light!
I believe the Lord spoke to me that this was the year where this was going
to happen. There will be a marked difference, a pronounced difference
between the Light and the Darkness. Those who continue to remain in the
middle will be either greatly wounded or killed (spiritually and possibly
physically). The reason this would occur to those in the middle is because
there were those in the “light” who had declared very clearly to them to
get out of the middle. I believe this is a Hebrews 6 passage taking place:
(Hebrews 6:4-6) For in the case of those who have once been enlightened
and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the
Holy Spirit, {5} and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of
the age to come, {6} and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew
them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son
of God, and put Him to open shame.
(1 Peter 4:17) For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of
God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do
not obey the gospel of God?
There can be no “middle of the road” in things regarding God. Either you
are in or you are out…there is no grey; there is no toleration with God
for failure to obey fully His directives to us after He has revealed His
Power to us.
This will be a year where the Hot and Cold will become very evident… and
where our obedience will be brought to clarity. There will be an
obviousness to unrepentance that others will recognize easily.
On the other hand, this will be a year where the Glory will be released to
a greater degree than ever before. Faith will arise on the servants of God
to such a degree that stories of the miraculous will become explosive. The
release of that will occur worldwide… in the west too!
Types and Shadows that have been released already, and some that will be
released in the first part of 2006 will become blatantly evident in the
next year and half. They reflect what is to come. They “foreshadow” that
which will be… both positive and negative. That which has been a type of
“death” in the realm of the church, will become more publicly evident in
the days to come. That which has been a “shadow” of life to come…. will be
released to such a degree that some of the most notable miracles will
occur without strain, without fasting, without years of pressing through.
THE YEAR OF "BROKEN THROUGH"
This year is not the year of the breakthrough… this is the “broken
through” year. Those who have endured being “broken” by the Lord will find
they are “through” into heavenly realms. The humility on the lives of
those who have been entrusted with the riches of His Wounds will result in
“promotion” in heavenly realms. (1 Peter 5:6) Humble yourselves,
therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the
proper time… It is Time! There will be more and more evidence of heaven in
gatherings of believers. There will be signs “directly” from Heaven; not
just gold, feathers, and oil… but also visitors and visitations in
meetings. There will be other “artifacts,” “stunning masterpieces,” and
“works of art” from Heaven that will be made visible during these events….
including colors, sounds, and phenomena that have not been experienced or
recognized on the earth. At times it will appear that Heaven is so open
there is a seemingly endless flow of His Presence and Power in the
gatherings. No longer will it be the single aspiration of an Enoch who
will walk with God, but rather a generation who will walk with God “in the
Heavens” and release that Glory on the earth.
BY WHOSE AUTHORITY DO YOU DO THESE THINGS?
Many of the past religious and pharisaical controls will only find a
platform in the “cold and dark” places where there is no life. Those who
have tasted life will no longer limit themselves to the standards required
by men to obey God… they will hear His Voice and do it. Those who pursued
God through faith heard “His Voice.” Had Abraham checked with others
regarding the offering of Isaac, we would have no need for a Jireh,
because the sacrifice would never had happened. Had Enoch needed
leaderships approval for walking with God, he likely would not have been
carried off to heaven in one of His walks with God. In the days to come…
accountability will be very much like it was in the book of Acts. Those
who raise the dead will know that the God who hears their prayer and
faithfully releases His ministry through them requires a greater walk with
Him, because should they choose to step aside from that grace and become
disobedient they could very well be in jeopardy of losing the privilege of
completing their destiny. (See Acts 5)
(Matthew 21:23-27) "And when He had come into the temple, the chief
priests and the elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching, and
said, "By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this
authority?" {24} And Jesus answered and said to them, "I will ask you one
thing too, which if you tell Me, I will also tell you by what authority I
do these things. {25} "The baptism of John was from what source, from
heaven or from men?" And they began reasoning among themselves, saying,
"If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say to us, 'Then why did you not
believe him?' {26} "But if we say, 'From men,' we fear the multitude; for
they all hold John to be a prophet." {27} And answering Jesus, they said,
"We do not know." He also said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what
authority I do these things."
The rule of thumb is not ordination by men, but rather ordination by God.
Jesus knew John was hearing from the Father. Obviously, Jesus’ authority
came from God. But also the apostles referred not to the “covering” of
men, but the “indication” of God. The evidence of God on a person’s life
is not based on who they consider their covering, but rather who has
anointed them. The anointing of God releases the demonstration of the
Spirit of God with Power. The anointing that comes from men is merely an
echo, a copy, an imitation, a replica. Paul never referred to the
ordination of men, but rather the Power of God. (2 Corinthians 3:1-2) "Are
we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people,
letters of recommendation to you or from you? {2} You yourselves are our
letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody." (1
Corinthians 2:4-5) "And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive
words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, {5} that
your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God."
The methods of men to keep men accountable have always fallen short. Men
have always been able to hide sin from each other. The greatest
accountability and covering is God Himself… and as we are walking in
transparency before Him… we WILL also walk in relational transparency
before our brothers and sisters who will recognize the “reflection” on our
lives of God’s Grace. It’s not becoming a lone ranger…. It’s being “one of
the sheep” who hears His Voice! Correction and encouragement will occur
based upon relationship with those who are watching our lives not out of
caution, but out of belief.
A YEAR OF TRANSFORMATION AND RESTORATION
This will not be a year of Reformation. The church has historically tried
to “reform” towards previous past patterns that seemed anointed and
effective. Neither is this a year of “renewal” which tends to lean towards
bringing about something that once happened that was encouraging and
helpful. This will be a year of Transformation and Rebirth. A restoration
is under way of God’s Purpose for the church and it is written in the
hearts of God’s people already. There are many who have already determined
that the way it has been done isn’t working, and that there is a “new
thing” God is doing. (Acts 3:21) "…the period of restoration of all things
about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient
time."
Jesus is only coming back for His Church. As a result we must love the
church, never speak ill of her or slander His Church…. But it’s critical
to understand that “The Church” is not the buildings, movements,
denominations, traditions, or ways of men under religious predilections…
the church is people… those transformed by His Holy Spirit who walk under
His anointing and His Power and reflect His Glory to the darkness around
them. Sometimes the greatest slander towards His Body has come from within
the “walls” towards those who are His Body, because rather than being
conformists… they have sought to break the mold and step into the release
of His Kingdom and Holy Spirit throughout the world. Soon this will be
recognized as the spirit to confront that holds back “The Church” from her
purpose.
THE WORD OVER 2006 IS RELEASE!
(Jeremiah 34:8-20) The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after
King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were in
Jerusalem to proclaim release to them: {9} that each man should set free
his male servant and each man his female servant, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew
woman; so that no one should keep them, a Jew his brother, in bondage.
{10} And all the officials and all the people obeyed, who had entered into
the covenant that each man should set free his male servant and each man
his female servant, so that no one should keep them any longer in bondage;
they obeyed, and set them free. {11} But afterward they turned around and
took back the male servants and the female servants, whom they had set
free, and brought them into subjection for male servants and for female
servants. {12} Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD,
saying, {13} "Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'I made a covenant with
your forefathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt,
from the house of bondage, saying, {14} "At the end of seven years each of
you shall set free his Hebrew brother, who has been sold to you and has
served you six years, you shall send him out free from you; but your
forefathers did not obey Me, or incline their ear to Me. {15} "Although
recently you had turned and done what is right in My sight, each man
proclaiming release to his neighbor, and you had made a covenant before Me
in the house which is called by My name. {16} "Yet you turned and profaned
My name, and each man took back his male servant and each man his female
servant, whom you had set free according to their desire, and you brought
them into subjection to be your male servants and female servants."' {17}
"Therefore thus says the LORD, 'You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming
release each man to his brother, and each man to his neighbor. Behold, I
am proclaiming a release to you,' declares the LORD, 'to the sword, to the
pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you a terror to all the
kingdoms of the earth. {18} 'And I will give the men who have transgressed
My covenant, who have not fulfilled the words of the covenant which they
made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between its
parts-- {19} the officials of Judah, and the officials of Jerusalem, the
court officers, and the priests, and all the people of the land, who
passed between the parts of the calf-- {20} and I will give them into the
hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life. And
their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the sky and the beasts of
the earth.
The release of the church into destiny has always been God’s intention.
The destiny will occur through those who understand “whose” they are. The
intention of God was never to call those who would “corral” the people of
God, but rather to call those who would “equip” the people of God to
fulfill the purposes of God in their lives and in the lives of those
around them. Any attempts to “corral” will be seen as “slavery” in the
church... and this year there will be exposure of that.
THE LORD IS NOT IN THE CATASTROPHE BUT IN THE REMEDY
In October 2005, during a visitation with the Lord in Coeur d’Alene Idaho
the Lord indicated to me several cataclysmic events in the near future. He
referred me to (1 Kings 19:11-13) So He said, "Go forth, and stand on
the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a
great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the
rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the
wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. {12} And after
the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the
fire a sound of a gentle blowing. {13} And it came about when Elijah heard
it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out and stood in the
entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, "What are
you doing here, Elijah?"
The indicators are “wind, earthquake, and fire… and then a gentle
blowing.” The events which will be as dramatic as Katrina was in 2005 will
be through wind (like hurricanes & tornadoes), earthquake (I believe this
will be from San Diego through the Pacific Northwest with a precursor
warning 6.49 quake, followed by a 8.7 quake within days… there seemed to
be some indication of a smaller quake in the New England states as well),
fire (like meteors, electrical surges, and fire enhanced by dry
conditions, I believe one location is Chicago), and finally the gentle
blowing.
The Lord was not and is not in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire. That
is important for believers to understand or we will fall into judging.
Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the
LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
and a future.” The Lord is in the “gentle blowing” which can also be
translated “a peaceful sound of a proclaiming thunder.” The Lord is in the
final move… it is the Voice of God flowing through the lives of His
people. It is the message of (Romans 10:14-18) How, then, can they call on
the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of
whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching
to them? {15} And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is
written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" {16}
But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord,
who has believed our message?" {17} Consequently, faith comes from hearing
the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. {18} But
I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: "Their voice has gone out
into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."
The message is us… God’s people. The purpose of God dealing with Elijah in
this way was so that he would not miss his visitation. (Luke 19:44) “…you
did not recognize the time of your visitation." The day of visitation is
the day where the Lord releases His Glory through His Church… where we
become the resource to the earth of salvation, because we carry the
source, who is God, in our lives! (1 Peter 2:12) Keep your behavior
excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander
you as evildoers, they may on account of your good deeds, as they observe
them, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Elijah failed to accomplish all that God had given him to do and the
mantle passed in double portion to Elisha. The Elisha generation is where
we are now. It is a generation that has heard the reports of God’s
goodness and power but who are also willing to step under that mantle and
accomplish the greater works of God as an indicator to this world that God
is True and all men are liars (Romans 3:4).
After events occur… the “Voice” will go forth in “Faith”. The first ones
in will be the believers who will carry the Grace and Mercy of God with
the evidence of His Power. Although the tragedy will be great … there will
be many who will be saved and even raised from the dead out of these
cataclysmic events. It truly will be The Churches finest hour. Indication
was given to me that places that now honored the ministry of the Holy
Spirit’s power will remain intact to become places of refuge during those
events. Other places will be destroyed where there was a focus on keeping
people happy, rather than making a resting place for God! (Isaiah 66:1)
Thus says the LORD, "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool.
Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I
may rest?
GOD RESTS IN “FAITH”
Over the past several decades we have watched various “trends” and
“movements” emerge throughout the earth. Each have subsequently either
faded or enfolded the movement into their emerging theology and practice.
In the early 1980’s there was a release of “healing” through many across
the church. In the late 1980’s there was a release of prophetic ministry.
In 1994 there was a dramatic release in Toronto of “renewal” that has
continued and evolved since that time. Other releases occurred following
that one, including the release of a “Glory” movement and the enfolding of
the renewal into the “River” movement. Each has had a dramatic part to
play in the shape of where God has been leading His Church… but there is a
greater movement that is emerging in the midst of each of these movements
and is beginning to fulfill the cry of Jesus when He said, "…when the Son
of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" “ Luke 18:8
The release of “faith” is in fact the greatest of all the end time
movements on the earth, it’s the one Jesus is looking for. It is only
“faith” that pleases God. (Hebrews 11) It is in Faith that God rests
because His people are at Rest in Him. It is the John 15 passage of
abiding in Him and He in us, and the result is “much fruit!”
THE GIANT HAS AWOKEN
In 1982 I had a dream about a giant that was asleep in a little white
country church. The hand of the Lord came down, and grabbed the shoulder
of the giant and woke him up from his slumber. The giant stood up and as
he did the building was shredded to bits. The Lord then spoke to me that
there would be a day when the church would stand and there would be no
structure (not religious, not organizational, not denominational or any
other structure) that would be able to contain it. I believe we are
witnessing the beginning of the disintegration of those structures.
Millions have left the structures and are unwilling to serve structures
again… I believe they are the forerunners and in the coming days will
provide a multitude of prototype events intended on reflecting the Glory
of the Son. In fact the word “prototype” really is meant to be indicative
of what the Spirit of God is doing. Hearing the Father is moving to the
forefront of those who will be walking in the Power of God. We must do
“only” what the Father is doing… but we must also do “all” that the Father
is doing. Jesus is once again going to be recognized as the “Head” of the
church, and the Holy Spirit is going to be released to be the
“Administrator” of it. Everything is meant to be “prototype.” Even as in
the book of Acts there was no indication that the church was established
through the same methodology in various places, we must rely solely on the
Holy Spirit for specific release of God in every situation. We can no
longer rely on good education, good principles, and good history. We must
look to the Father and hear from Him. Hearing His Voice will release His
Voice through us as we become the “silent thunder” to the world around us.
We are headed into a reality of “church life” that goes far beyond what
most of us have experienced. His Presence will be made manifest…. and His
light will shine in the darkness. Arise Church arise… this is what you
were born for!
(Isaiah 46:3-13) "Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of
the house of Israel, You who have been borne by Me from birth, And have
been carried from the womb; {4} Even to your old age, I shall be the same,
And even to your graying years I shall bear you! I have done it, and I
shall carry you; And I shall bear you, and I shall deliver you. {5} "To
whom would you liken Me, And make Me equal and compare Me, That we should
be alike? {6} "Those who lavish gold from the purse And weigh silver on
the scale Hire a goldsmith, and he makes it into a god; They bow down,
indeed they worship it. {7} "They lift it upon the shoulder and carry it;
They set it in its place and it stands there. It does not move from its
place. Though one may cry to it, it cannot answer; It cannot deliver him
from his distress. {8} "Remember this, and be assured; Recall it to mind,
you transgressors. {9} "Remember the former things long past, For I am
God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, {10}
Declaring the end from the beginning And from ancient times things which
have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will
accomplish all My good pleasure'; {11} Calling a bird of prey from the
east, The man of My purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly
I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it. {12}
"Listen to Me, you stubborn-minded, Who are far from righteousness. {13}
"I bring near My righteousness, it is not far off; And My salvation will
not delay. And I will grant salvation in Zion, And My glory for Israel.
