They stand in a long line of those who have seen the Heart of God for this
Nation! I guess the first was of Awakening was probably George Whitfield
in 1738 in Georgia... then it was John Wesley... then came Charles Finney
and Barton Stone during another wave of Awakening ... then another wave
brought Dwight L. Moody, Ira Sankey, William & Katherine Booth, Hudson
Taylor and Charles Spurgeon. Further waves brought Billy Sunday, Andrew
Murray... and then R. A. Torrey, William Seymour, Charles Parham, Evan
Roberts and many others. Then came the healing revivalists. Those men and women who against extreme opposition released God's power into the world with dramatic healings and conversions. Simple imperfect servants: John Alexander Dowie, Maria Woodworth-Etter, John G. Lake, Aimee Semple McPherson, Smith Wigglesworth, William Branham, Jack Coe, A.A. Allen, Kathryn Kuhlman. They saw in part... but it stopped before they saw fulfillment of the vision they held in their hearts! |
FROM THE HARVEST FIELD! |
And so God raised up others ... imperfect servants ... Billy Graham, Luis
Palau, Lonnie Frisbee and the Jesus People Movement ... John Wimber...
Chuck Smith... and the list goes on. All looking for the outpouring that
is yet to come. The outpouring that will be seen not as a fourth or fifth
awakening... not as another revival that fizzles in five or ten or fifteen
years... but rather "The Greatest Awakening" ... that move of God that
touches not simply a nation... but His World with the Glory of God as
millions and millions become billions and are swept to the feet of Jesus
in passionate love and honor! And so the imperfect servants continue to press through into wastelands... to release the Glory of God... and to spark this Greatest Awakening! Not many have been heard of before... just as Wesley and Whitfield and Finney and Moody and Wigglesworth were... unknowns with a passion for His Heart and His Vision being fulfilled... these are the ones who have been setting the dry wood on fire... and they will be those who will witness... The Greatest Awakening! |

We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain. ~2 Peter 1:18 |
